Thank you very much for your help. The HC05 emulator is great, but the tech support is priceless.
I was referring to an MC68HC705C8 book when I was trying to program an MC68HC705C8A processor. I did not initialize the MOR1 or MOR2 registers at 0x1FF0 and 0x1FF1. The device programmer software filled the unused locations in the memory map with 0xFF. Since the Mask Option Registers were not initialized, they were set to 0xFF, which enabled the Non-Programmable COP Reset in MOR2. I was probably getting external interrupts from the Port B low inputs to add insult to injury.
Thanks again for your help. That alone was worth the price of the emulator.
Sometimes it just helps to be able to bounce an idea off someone who can easily understand the basic problem.

All of my TECI equipment, especially my HC05 and HC11 emulators, have worked flawlessly.
I have not had a single errant event that I couldn't rationally explain. My time is now spent identifying my mistakes instead of the mistakes of the emulator designer and manufacturer. With over 600 hours on my TECICE-HC05 I would think that I'd experience something, but alas, the thing is too well designed.
I've saved over 30% of my emulation time. In addition to the time savings realized by reliable emulation operation, the seemingly sparse command set turns out to save vast amounts of time. It's obvious that the command set was constructed by someone who actually does development work for a living. ...I'm not trying to simultaneously debug my hardware, my firmware and my emulator.
I would, without hesitation, strongly recommend TECI products to anyone that is serious about development engineering.

...I thought I would just take a minute to let you know how much I appreciate the TECI products I have been using over the past few years. I first bought your MCPM-1 then MCPM-3, then my university bought these same tools. They then bought your C8 emulator. All of this hardware as well as your software is simply first class. I find TECI products a joy to use as well as extremely cost effective.
