WMCPM3 Program Description:

This product is for user's who already own our MCPM-3 programmer and want to upgrade their old DOS control software to Windows. This program works on PCs running Win95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP and solves the serial communications problems that user's of WIN2000/XP have with the DOS software. It also works with modern USB to serial port adapters.

* * * CHECK YOUR PROGRAMMER FOR COMPATIBILITY * * *

The MCPM-3 programmer has been around since the mid to late 1980's and some of the earliest versions will not be compatible with this program. Here's how to tell if your programmer is compatible:
Check the version number of the DOS program(TMCPM3.EXE) that you are currently using to control the programmer. The version number is found at the top of the TMCPM3.EXE main menu screen.
If the version number is 4.5, WMCPM3.EXE will work with your programmer.
If the version number is not 4.5 then visually inspect your programmer to see if it has a Vpp adjustment potentiometer near the RS-232 connector at the rear of the programmer. If your programmer does not have the Vpp adjustment potentiometer then the Windows program will not work with your programmer.
If your programmer has the potentiometer then you will need to download the free demo program and use it to verify the following:
1) that your programmer passes the communications test by pressing the "Communications Test" button.
2) that the programmer test passes by pressing the "Programmer Test" button.
3) that you can Blank check devices by pressing the "Blank Check" button.
4) that you can download the PC buffer to the programmer by pressing the "Send To Programmer" button.
If these four tests pass, WMCPM3.EXE will work with your programmer.
